The purpose of this study is to share information almost the necessity of multicultural education in Indonesia through online teaching held at National Dong Hwa University, Taiwan, and Republic of indonesia University of Teaching, Indonesia. As multicultural education will assist studentscreate equal educational opportunities from various racial, ethnic, social-class, and cultural groups, one of its important goals is to help all students acquire the knowledge, attitudes, and skills needed to function effectively in a pluralistic democratic gild and to interact, negotiate, and communicate with people from various groups in order to create a civic and moral community that works for the common expert. This study has implemented “Dick, Carey  Carey model” through online teaching approach. This inquiry involved one male and fourteen female person of fourth semester undergraduate students majoring in Early Childhood Teacher Education at Republic of indonesia University of Didactics. The results may not exist generalized to other teaching institutions due to the limited number of the participants. This research was conducted in the Department of Curriculum Design and Human Potentials, National Dong Hwa University, Taiwan and in the Department of Early on Childhood Instructor Education, Faculty of Education, Indonesia University of Education. The distance between Taiwan and Indonesia, limitation of the media, tools and internet connection did not affect the learning procedure as long as the teacher prepared the needed materials. Online education could achieve practiced improvement, similar to traditional teaching using “face-to-face” state of affairs. By using Dick, Carey Carey’s instructional organisation design, students were able to enhance their understanding about this theme of learning. This condition showed the increase of students’ operation mean scores from v.142 to 8.928 with 4 students able to get posttest scores 100% correct, seven students ninety% right, two students 80% correct, and merely one student 60% correct. According to the percentage of the boilerplate score of posttest, the teaching action by using this approach has succeeded to better the students’ understanding about multicultural teaching. In add-on, the percentage of each item has increased besides. The comparing between pre- and post-examination has shown that the lowest score on pretest was 2.0 and the highest one was seven.0. The consequence has dramatically increased on the posttest scores with the lowest score half dozen.0 and the highest score 10. The rising scores ranged betwixt 2-6 scores with an average of iii.785 point. Consequently, the online teaching by adopting Dick, Carey Carey’s ISD model has improved student’southward learning performance.

In Indonesia, language endangerment is primarily related to language shift. Data show that the near important symptoms of language shift and of the vitality of a language are number and quality of the domains in which it is used and transmitted. The second crucial symptom of language endangerment is the loss of manual from i generation to the next. This is what is at present being seen in many communities across Indonesia where children are no longer acquiring their parents’ language. In that location are two general endangerment scenarios that have occurred in Indonesia. The first is the clearing scenario in which members of another oral communication customs from outside the surface area move in and due to economical and political advantage essentially ‘take over’ a local spoken communication customs, imposing their own language. The 2nd is the emigration scenario in which members of a local speech community temporarily drift outside of the community for education or piece of work, and on returning bring the dominant language from outside into the customs. Finally, we tin now observe in many parts of Indonesia that social changes including economic, educational, and political contexts, promote a shift from local to ascendant language.

The Law Number 12 of 2012 concerning Higher Instruction (UUPT) stipulates that all State-Owned Legal Entity Universities (PT-BHMN) to be changed into Legal Entity Land University (PTN-BH). The change provides opportunities to vii PT-BHMNs to pattern new statutes. The model of PTN-BH is like to PT-BHMN, except that PTN BH’s financial organisation must follow the regulations set up past Public Service Body (BLU). Basically, it is a strategic policy, although circuitous issues oft arise in its implementation. With its PT-PKBLU status, UPI has non yet met the criteria of self-directing, self-motivating, self-regulating, self-supporting, self-assessing, and self-decision making in society to reply to challenging situations, equally the regulation is rigid and set along by regime. The problem lies in how to put UPI in its role and position every bit PT-PKBLU effectively and efficiently while also being accountable and competitive. This is not easy. It takes a paradigm change and unconventional managerial strategy. Today, the number of private universities is increasing and each of them offers advantages. UPI must always be ready to compete with other universities, both private and state universities. However, compared to other state-owned universities, UPI is still left backside. Therefore, this research will focus on UPI’due south competitiveness. To detect out how UPI can improve its competitiveness to be a research-based educational activity university, the writer is going to focus on a value creation model, first-class services, and UPI’s epitome which influence the comeback and enhancement of competitiveness. The units of analysis of the research were graduate students from forty departments at UPI. To fid out the influence of each proposed indicator, the research employed SEM analysis, in which each variable was tested by a measurement model. The results show that a value cosmos model, superior services, institution’due south epitome, and UPI’south competitiveness tin lead UPI to exist a enquiry-based teaching university.

This study was intended to investigate the development of students’ mathematical logical thinking power and self-regulated learning through Problem-based Learning (PBL). This study was a part of a master thesis and a sub-study of a Postgraduate Research Grant from DGHE in2013. This report was a pre-examination-postal service-test quasi-experimental control group blueprint involving 93 eleventh-grade students of a senior loftier school in Karawang which were chosen puposively. The instruments of this written report were an essay test on mathematical logical thinking, a self-regulated learning scale, and a scale measuring students’ perception of PBL. The study revealed that students getting treatment on PBL attained meliorate grades on mathematical logical thinking ability than students taught past conventional pedagogy, athough the grades were at low level. However, in that location was no difference in the grades for self-regulated learning between students in the 2 groups, although the grades were fairly good. Also, at that place was no correlation between mathematical logical thinking ability and cocky-regulated learning with students’ positive opinions toward PBL.

This sudy was intended to examine the role of prior mathematics ability (PMA) and contextual teaching approach with mathematical manipulative (CTL-MM) to the achievement of mathematical connectedness ability (MCA) and cocky-confidence (SC) of junior high school students. This study was part of a master thesis, and information technology was a sub-written report of a Postgraduate Enquiry Grant from DGHE in 2013 also. The study was quasi-experimental with pre-test post-examination control grouping pattern, involving 67 ninth-form students from a junior loftier school in Bandung. The instruments of this study were an essay test on mathematical connection, a self-confidence scale, and a scale on students’ perception toward CTL-MM. The effect of the written report revealed that CTL-MM was improve in improving students’ MCA, Northward-Gain of MCA, and SC. This was shown by students’ grades of MCA and SC which were ameliorate in the group taught past CTL-MM than students’ grades in the group taught by conventional educational activity. While their grades of SC were improve, the grades of MCTA were at low level. Nonetheless, in that location was a moderate correlation between mathematical connection and self-confidence though students demonstrated positive perception toward the  implementation of CTL-MM.

The council for revitalization of teaching has submitted a proposal to Prime Minister Shinzo Abe for educational reforms to brand English language courses compulsory in the fifth and sixth grades. The bulk of elementary school teachers are now worried and lacking in confidence to teach English, as they feel they are ill-equipped for their new role as linguistic communication instructors. According to Keith Schoch’s article Picture Books across the Curriculum, picture books deserve a place in the upper simple and centre school grades for a number of reasons: If chosen with consideration for the interests of the students and used in ways that are appropriate for learners, movie books tin provide valuable opportunities of linguistic communication-rich experiences and interactions. Thus, the present study firstly describes and analyses some of the challenges facing English education in Japan past relating to its wider social setting. Secondly, the study analyzes how teachers perceive they tin promote language learning in their EFL classrooms through the medium of moving picture books. Thirdly, the written report discusses the merits of using film books in the upper elementary and middle school English education from the viewpoint of English language language learning, then investigates topics and themes of a picture book which illuminate some universal aspects of human condition.

This research is motivated by the empirical conditions related to poor operation of human resources in various institutions in Republic of indonesia. This research focuses on the uneven gains of competitive human resources due to workers’ characters which even so prioritize routines and the fact that quality-oriented work civilisation has not been strongly established.. The solution offered is a model of man resource management that emphasizes the interaction between personal and situational factors that are directed at the creation of improved functioning and productivity, equally stated in behaviourist theory. Based on the above explanation, the aim of this second yr research is to measure the effects of the ii previously mentioned factors on performance. The research adopted quantitative approach with explanatory survey method. First year research was focused on an exploration with inductive approach to map the determining factors for variables that will build a model of human resource management in achieving superior performance. 2d twelvemonth research used explanatory survey, combining multiple regression analysis techniques to examination the causal relation betwixt variables, while the 3rd year enquiry will use Research and Development method to test the hyphothetical model. The subjects of this enquiry were employees in educational institutions (Indonesia University of Pedagogy and Bandung State Polytechnic ), banks (West Java-Banten Bank and Indonesian People’south Bank), business institutions (Advent Infirmary), and authorities institutions (Local Authorities Agencies in Bandung). The size of the samples was taken proportionally from each piece of work unit by using proportionate random sampling. The number of units of analysis was 239 respondents determined past Solvin formula. The instruments of this enquiry consisted of questionnaires, interview guide, and documentary study. The instruments were validated by expert judgment. The data were processed with the aid of SPSS version 21 and AMOS to observe the causal relationship betwixt variables, and regression analysis to place variables forming superior functioning. Based on the findings, it tin exist concluded that all personal aspects and situational aspects were proven to take significantly positive effects and contributions to create superior operation. The hypothetical model adult in this starting time and second year research volition be tested in the next year’s research.
